Congratulations on Starting Your Invisalign Journey!
Proper care of your aligners is essential during your Invisalign journey.
Wear your aligners for 22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss.
Clean your aligners regularly with a soft-bristled toothbrush and cold water. There are also specially designed Invisalign cleaning crystals that you can use to soak your aligners in. DO NOT USE TOOTHPASTE. Toothpaste is abrasive and will scratch the aligners causing bacteria to form inside those grooves.
Keep your aligners in their case when you're not wearing them! The main cause of damaged & lost aligners is not storing them properly. We also recommend keeping your previous set of aligners in the event you lose or damage your current set.
ALWAYS remove your aligners before eating or drinking. This will keep them much cleaner and easier for you to enjoy the foods you love. Water is the only exception where you can leave the aligners in.
Avoid exposing your aligners to heat or sun. Invisalign aligners are made of a thermoplastic material that can warp when exposed to high temperatures. Avoid leaving them in hot cars, direct sunlight, or hot water.
By following these simple care instructions, you can help ensure that your Invisalign treatment progresses smoothly and efficiently, and that your aligners remain comfortable and hygienic throughout your treatment!
