Congratulations on completing your orthodontic treatment! Follow these instructions to ensure your smile stays beautiful for life=)
For the next 6 months, you need to wear your retainer ALL THE TIME. Practice talking with your retainer in! You will find it different at first, but like anything else, give it time and you'll be great at it!
Once 6 months is completed, you will simply wear your retainer every night.
ALWAYS put your retainer in its case! The most common cause of damaged/lost retainers result from not storing it properly.
Brush your retainer daily with toothpaste and cold water. This will get rid of plaque and odors. If you find that your retainer still carries an odor, you may soak it with an effervescent tablet and water.
Visit us for retainer adjustments. DO NOT ATTEMPT DIY ADJUSTMENTS
You will receive 2 sets of retainers from 7 to 7 Dental. You are responsible for any additional devices if these break or are lost.
